Newplant Timber Supplies has been an independent, family run timber and builders merchant since it was established in May 1991.
Two brothers began by supplying the local community with building materials and as word spread of their efficient and committed service, their customer base grew. They maintained their strong presence in the area and, even against the pressure of ever growing chains from national organisations, increased their distribution area to cover all of London and some surrounding counties, including Essex and Hertfordshire.

A little over twenty years down the line, in August 2012, one of their sons joined the company. Without any prior knowledge of a
builders merchant, he started out working in the yard as a forklift driver/labourer to learn about the materials.
By May 2013 he was working on the sales counter where he was able to learn about deeper aspects of the business. He utilised the pool of over 40 years combined experience of those involved with the business and grew into a critical role in the business today, alongside his father. Newplant truly is the embodiment of a family business which strives to satisfy all of its customers.
